Ednovate Background

Ednovate launched its first school in 2012. Since then, we’ve grown to eight schools and are on a trajectory to reach 11 schools in just the next few years (you can read more about our schools here). Ednovate is committed to serving areas where students traditionally lack access to a quality college-prep education by building tuition-free, safe, high-performing public schools driven to create positive multi-generational change.

Position Overview

As a Summer Intern at Ednovate, you will be responsible for working with departments across the Support Team to directly assist schools as they get ready for the upcoming school year, including analyzing data, writing reports, organizing events, and managing logistics and operations. This role is an exciting opportunity for an Ednovate alum with a strong attention to detail and a problem solving orientation who is passionate about creating positive multigenerational change in a collaborative, results-oriented environment. This temporary, hourly role will report to a member of the Support Team.

What You'll Do

When applying for a summer internship, candidates will be asked to select the work they are interested in supporting. Opportunities include:

  • Academics - Assisting with the closeout of our academic year and preparing for the arrival of teachers in July, including updating curriculum and assessments, creating teacher logins and assistance with new hire orientation.

  • College and Alumni Team - Support implementation of our robust Alumni Check-in Surveys, College Team Professional Development, and feedback streams related to postsecondary programming and systems.

  • External Impact - Enhance community engagement by researching local data to improve internal surveys for community schools, ensuring the ParentSquare communication system is operational for the new academic year, develop training materials for family engagement, and catalog community events.

  • Growth - Assist with outreach and community connection efforts in Orange County, as we build greater awareness of Ednovate schools in new cities.

  • Operations and Facilities - Supporting classroom readiness and final inspections of Ednovate facilities, including receiving deliveries, moving furniture and equipment, and completing general tasks related to preparing our campuses for the upcoming school year.

  • Talent and Teamwork - Assisting with the development and delivery of summer workshops, including new hire orientation and quarterly network professional development. Supporting applicant data management and analysis, as well as candidate outreach and hiring. Assisting with HR data and reporting, audit support, and employee record maintenance.

  • Technology - Support with Data Clean Up across Technology Systems, asset tracking and management, and documentation and developing Technology Resource page.

We're Looking For

  • Alum of an Ednovate school required

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills required

  • Fluency working in Microsoft Office or Google Suite software platforms required

  • Reliable access to transportation required

  • A U.S. citizen or legal resident with the right to work in the U.S. required

We're Committed To Giving You

  • A competitive and transparent wage ($17.81/hour, depending on background and experience). NOTE: 2025-2026 salaries will be updated in March 2025.

  • 48 hours of sick time (after 30 days of employment)
