Position Overview

As a Community School Coordinator (CSC) at Ednovate, you will champion holistic support and engagement for students and families. With a passion for relationship-building and empowerment, the school-based CSC will support a ‘whole-child’ approach, in line with the California Community Schools Model, with an integrated focus on academics, health, social services, and youth and community development, and will collaborate with site staff to monitor program quality and impact, encourage civic engagement, drive transformative change, and build neighborhoods where people want to invest their time. This role is an exciting opportunity for someone with a background in community engagement, social services or youth development looking to create positive multigenerational change in a collaborative, results-oriented environment. This is a full-time, exempt role that reports to the Assistant Principal of Student Services.

What You’ll Do

  • Build Collaborative Relationships: Cultivate strong, trusting relationships with school administration, staff, students, and community stakeholders. Recruit and engage community partners to address school, family, and community needs.

  • Manage Program Operations: Maintain a calendar of events, track program activities and expenditures, and ensure timely submission of reports to maximize program efficiency and transparency. Conduct regular needs assessments and analyze data to identify and address gaps in community school programs.

  • Engage the Community: Coordinate and attend school meetings, outreach events, and grant-related activities. Conduct regular outreach to stakeholders through one-on-one meetings, school tours/roundtables and attend local community events/meetings.

  • Develop and Manage Partnerships: Serve as Partnership Manager, owning relationships with partners and systems for evaluating efficacy. Identify, recruit, and coordinate partnerships with community agencies, organizations, and local elected officials to provide integrated support services for students, ensuring their progress and success in alignment with school goals and priorities.

  • Lead and Advocate: Co-create a shared vision for Community Schools. Align resources to meet school and community needs while managing budgets. Advocates for students, families, and community members.

We’re Looking For

  • Bachelor's degree plus 3+ years of proven experience in community development, education, social services, or related field required. (Equivalent work experience may be substituted for the education requirement.)

  • Skilled communicator, brand builder, and culture carrier who can effectively lead through influence and inspire action required.

  • Rigorous time-and-task management, with a demonstrated ability to backwards plan to advance both long- and short-term priorities, required.

  • Experience leading community partnerships and working with diverse stakeholders such as administrators, teachers, parents, and students required. Strong ties to the community preferred.

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills required. Bilingual fluency in Spanish and English required.

  • Experience with Google applications (Docs, Sheets, Slides) required.

  • Ability to work flexible hours including weekends and evenings, required.

  • A competitive and transparent salary ($67,000 - $80,000, depending on background and experience). NOTE: 2025-2026 salaries will be updated in March 2025.
